Hope the students found out that Paul Revere was not the only rider that night. There was also Dawes and Prescott.  Revere was stopped and detained by British Officers, Dawes escaped but fell off of his horse and Prescott finished the journey.  Longfellow wrote a poem and Revere rhymed better than Dawes and Prescott, so Revere became famous.

Results were very close and it was difficult to judge the posters. All entries were very good and the Lt. Nathan Gann Chapter appreciates the efforts of the students of both schools, Pineywoods Academy and St. Cyprians Episcopal School The 3 winners will be invited to the March meeting of the Sons of the American Revolution. The meeting will be March 26, 2009 at the Golden Corral. Come with your parents anytime after 6 PM for dinner. The meeting will be called to order at 7 PM. The chapter will pay for the dinner of each student and their parents.
