On Wednesday May 27th, Neal Naranjo, VP, and Fred Preston, President of the Lt. Nathan Gann Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, presented certificates of appreciation and monetary awards to 5th grade students of Pineywoods Academy.   23 students participated in the SAR Poster Contest on 'The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere'.  Each year the Sons of the American Revolution sponsors a Poster Contest for any 5th grade students.  The subject is different each year.  The winning local poster would go to the State competition and then National.  Schools are urged to participate and the students don't need to take class room time to do the poster.  They are supposed to be done individually by the student so they could be done at home.  Contact Fred Preston for more information at fpreston@suddenlink.net
